New Member: David Vo
On July 6, 2011, President Joe Weiland inducted David Vo into the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise. David Vo is a past president of the Rotaract Club of Santa Barbara, a past GSE team member, a Paul Harris Fellow and a two-time Rotary International Convention attendee. His works in quality assurance at Citrix Online.
Membership Chair Gary Jensen can be proud that a new member was inducted in the first meeting of the new year.
The Bugle caught up with new red badge member David for an unconventional Q&A.

What would you choose for your last meal?
Roasted Bone Marrow with light parsley and shallot salad. Toast. Duck confit, pork belly, foie gras. Coconut cake, creme brulee.
Why did you decide to join Rotary?
To take helping others to next level.
What are one or two things you hope to do as a Rotarian?
Participate in large international project.
Name three of your accomplishments that not everyone knows.
- I like to tinker with electronics. I’ve built amplifiers and custom flashlights.
- I review all sorts of products from bicycling equipment to shoes.
- I’ve eaten in restaurants across the country totaling 27 Michelin stars.
What did you study in college?
Economics (Business)
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I always have strong opinions on how products and services I use everyday can be improved. My job gives me some power to affect change in our products to make them better.
Cats or dogs?
Dogs, every time.
Best book you’ve read this year?
Outliers or What the Dog Saw, both by Malcolm Gladwell
